GeneralThis proven design of Prawn Trawler has been successfully operating off the West Australian Coast
and the Gulf of Carpentaria for almost 40 years. This vessel was launched from the Kailis Shipyard in
Henderson WA in 1983 for operations in the Northern Gulf of Carpentaria.
The vessel is powered by a 488 HP KTA19m Cummins main engine and Cummins Genset. The vessel
has now been modified for use in Abrolhos Scallop Fishery.
The Ca-Den III has been maintained and is in AMSA Survey. This vessel can be used for a range of
fisheries including: prawn trawling, drop lining, Shark & Mackerel fishing.
